Second Step: Make your product (ICE CREAM!)
Working with ice cream in the advertising business can be sticky. You cannot advertise a specific ice cream and use "fake icecream" to advertise that specific product. BUT if the brand of ice cream is not the focus of the shoot, then you can make ice cream that looks just like the real thing but won't melt under heavy lights or over time when you are trying to get the perfect shot!

Step 3: Photographing your Fake Ice Cream
Considering the style of your magazine cover, and the type of photography they use for their cover, you will need to plan out your photoshoot.
Make sure you have all the products you need if you need to work on a still life specific image.
Make sure you have models on hand if you need a "hand" to hold the cone, or person to eat your ice cream.
